Q. What age do you need to be at the beginning of the course?

Q. What age do you need to be at the beginning of the course?
A. At least 16 years old

Q. Am I excempt from any part of the course?
A. Yes, if you have a current H.S.E First Aid at Work certificate then you can be excempt from the first aid section, however it is at the discretion of the assessor.

Q. If I am not a good swimmer, is it worth me doing a lifeguard course?
A. An RLSS National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers / Coaches may be a better alternative, please contact us to discuss.

Q. If I am a swimming techer is it advisable to do a lifeguard course?
A. You have two alternatives. The first is the RLSS National Pool Lifeguard course and the second is the RLSS National Rescue Award. Please contact us to discuss.
